On Friday, April 18, Phish set off their eight-stop Spring Tour with the first of two performances at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. The first look at the four-decade quartet’s energy for 2025 was as excellent as ever, showing a revitalized energy and focus that delivered new takes on old favorites. Night one was the band’s first performance in Seattle since 2023, and they rewarded their fans’ patience with a setlist packed with classics; highlights included an off-the-rails 18-minute treatment of “Back on the Train” and a glittering 23-minute take on TV on the Radio’s “Golden Age.”
