On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18 and 19, Los Angeles’ summer staple Beachlife Festival returned with Beachlife Nights, a new autumn spin-off event. Staging on the coast in Redondo Beach, Calif., the new offshoot welcomed Southern California’s concertgoer and foodie communities to combine for a celebration of the region’s musical and culinary culture.

The festival’s Lowtide Stage welcomed four performers for each evening of programming, including acoustic rock, ska, reggae and everything in between. On Friday, sets from The Rookie5 and The English Beat set the stage for SOJA and headliners Michael Franti & Spearhead. On Saturday, Anuhea and Donavon Frankenreiter warmed up the crowd for Fortunate Youth before a show from Iration closed out the festival.
