Pretty much every time one of the Gallagher brothers says something about one another that isn't awful or some sort of inside-joke jab, a portion of the music world goes crazy about a possible Oasis reunion. The latest version of this phenomenon was short-lived, unsurprisingly.
The ordeal was recently chronicled by
SPIN, who notes that around the holiday season last month, Liam Gallagher seemed to be feeling the end-of-the-year spirit by tweeting that he and older brother Noel were "all good" and even intimated that the two might hang out around Christmas. Well, that (relatively) lovey-dovey Hallmark moment is passed, and the Gallaghers are back to their old ways. Which, to be honest, is for the best, if you're like me and you prefer biting, brother-on-brother shade-throwing to an Oasis reunion tour that would probably blow up and be canceled anyway.
The latest flurry of tweets from Liam apparently spawned from an interview that Noel gave on a UK podcast in which he put down musicians who have worked with co-songwriters for their albums, including "our kid" (Liam) and The Verve's Richard Ashcroft.
