Umphrey's McGee will once again return to Denver for their annual New Year's run and to mark the occasion are revisiting their last stop in Colorado over the holiday by releasing a soaring version of the Raw Stewage standout "Upward" played during their December 30 show of that 2015 run.
"Upward" of course is the second half of the massive "Onward & Upward" segment that debuted the previous year during their annual UMBowl event, arguably one of the show's greatest offerings, a 20+ minute composition that combned various instrumental jams and lyrical ideas from past years.
