Today in 1995, the Grateful Dead played what would be their final show at Chicago's Solider Field. A month later, Jerry Garcia would be found dead after suffering a heart attack and the band would only perform in the future as various iterations of the Grateful Dead.
Twenty years later, the surviving core members would return to Soldier Field along with Trey Anastasio, former member Bruce Hornsby and Jeff Chimenti for a special 50th anniversary celebration at the very same venue where Garcia delivered his finale.
