Dead & Company are headed to Bristow, VA today and took some time to visit with Senator Al Franken in Washington, DC.
Franken, a very well-known Deadhead, spoke to Relix in 2015 about his longstanding fandom with the Grateful Dead and much more. "We went to go see them at an outdoor concert in Santa Barbara, CA [5/25/74, Campus Stadiuum, UCSB]. I remember seeing four in a row at Winderland [1974]. They were unbelievable shows and I was hooked," Franken said.
Surely, the Senator from Minnesota got some quality input from Weir and Hart on how to combat the new healthcare bill.
