As bass player Dave Dreiwitz has noted himself, today marks the 20 year anniversary of his invitation into Ween. Dreiwitz reflects, “It was twenty years ago today Deaner called me up to play…..we never really were in style but I think we made some people smile….This day twenty years ago, I got a call from Dean Ween telling me Ween had just finished their new record The Mollusk… He then asked me if I wanted to do some playing with them… it was the phone call I had been waiting for… our first tour was the H.o.r.d.e. With Neil Young and Crazy Horse , Primus and Beck to name a few… Thank You Mickey Melchiondo and Aaron Freeman , Claude Coleman Jr. Glenn McClelland for the last twenty years of a magical journey… Looking forward to twenty more….”
