Song Premiere: Slighty Stoopid “Higher Now” (feat. Chali 2na)
As Slightly Stoopid celebrates 20 years as a band, the group will embark on an extensive summer tour starting on June 7 at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Bonner, MT. Slightly Stoopid will also mark the occasion with the release of a new studio album, Everyday Life, Everyday People, on July 13. This is Slightly Stoopid’s ninth studio effort and features guest appearances by Ali Campbell (UB40), G. Love, Alborosie, Don Carlos, Yellowman, Sly Dunbar and others.
Today we premiere “Higher Now,” a track from the forthcoming record that features Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na. The band’s Miles Doughty reflects, “Working with the verbal Herman Munster (aka Chali 2na) is always the vibe you need to elevate the music to take us higher now. That being said, higher now is not always about weed, it’s a state of mind through the knowledge we get through Chali 2na’s lyrics and rhymes.”
Everyday Life, Everyday People is now available for pre-order. The itinerary for the group’s upcoming summer tour with special guests Stick Figure and Pepper appears below the audio.
