Premiere: The Travelin’ McCoury’s Celebrate International Beer Day By Proclaiming “I Like Beer”

This is International Beer Day.
We here at Relix are actively supportive of the occasion. Back in 2018, we created Ground Score IPA with Kyle Hollingsworth and SweetWater Brewing Company (read more about it here).
This year The Travelin’ McCoury’s have seized the day with a performance of Tom T. Hall’s “I Like Beer.” Rob McCoury, identified by the group as “Bluegrass’s Unofficial #1 Beer Drinker” sings lead on the tune. He tells Relix, “Folks who know me would probably agree that ‘I Like Beer!’ So I think this song is an appropriate debut for me. We had a lot of fun recording this song, and playing it live has even been more fun with the fans singing along.”

We premiere the official video for “I Like Beer” below.
The Travelin’ McCoury’s are currently on the road. Members of the group (who also back Rob and Ronnie’s father Del, in the Del McCoury Band) were recently nominated for a series of awards from International Bluegrass Music Association.
