Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and Eggy Offer Collaborative Conclusion to Bearsville Run (A Photo Gallery + Recap)

On Tuesday, September 30, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers returned to the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y. Last night’s performance represented the band’s second consecutive show at the historic venue, with support from special guests Eggy. Like the night prior, Hornsby welcomed the openers to assist on select numbers. They exchanged the favor during their latest live show, welcoming Hornsby, and members of the pianist’s band, guitarist Gibb Droll, and John Mailander on mandolin.
Eggy opened the show with their typical configuration: Jake Brownstein (guitar, vocals), Dani Battat (keys, vocals), Mike Goodman (bass, vocals), and Alex Bailey (drums, vocals), guiding “Smile” and “Wayless,” before welcoming assistance from Hornsby, who added to their original, “Woah There.” Next, they brought out Noisemakers, Droll, and Mailander, who added strings to Eggy’s 2024 Waiting Game title track. For their final move, the four-piece delivered “Parceled Solution” before handing over the reins to Hornsby.
The pianist, and one-time Grateful Dead collaborator, returned the favor by welcoming Eggy during the first four songs played in his set: “Resting Place,” “Stander on the Mountain,” “Line in the Dust,” and “My Resolve.” Without the openers, the headliners played through “Across the River” and “Mandolin Rain” before welcoming Eggy to the stage for the night’s final collaboration, “Funhouse.”
After turning in two nights at Bearsville, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and special guest Eggy will continue their run tomorrow evening, October 2, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., followed by a final night of music slated for October 4 at Higher Ground in Burlington, Vt.
