On Sunday, June 8, Band of Horses rolled into Woodstock, N.Y., for a performance at the recently revamped Bearsville Theater. To kick off their 23-stop summer run, the celebrated Charleston, S.C.-based indie-rock quintet tore through a 16-song set of highlights from throughout their storied two-decade run. From an explosive intro of “St. Augustine,” the final track from their 2006 debut album Everything All the Time, the group brought a standout from their 2022 record Things Are Great with “Crutch,” then proceeded to explore their roots with favorites from 2007’s Cease to Begin and 2010’s Infinite Arms with cuts like “Factory, “Laredo,” “No One’s Gonna Love You,” “Is There a Ghost” and “Ode to LRC.” To conclude the performance, Band of Horses  lit up the undeniable fan-favorite of their catalog with a tender, stirring, then anthemic and fiery finale of “The Funeral.”
