Super Secret Band is a Portland, OR-based music collective, which first performed in 2018. The group’s shows which delve into funk, rock and soul realms typically feature psychedelic visual projections as well. Today, we share the Super Secret Band’s new single “Never Odd or Even,” with an album expected to follow over the coming months.

The group tells Relix, “We wrote this song shortly after the shutdown when Portland was going through some of its darkest days with the pandemic and all the civil unrest on the streets. It sums up a lot of what we were feeling at the time, like things would never be the way it used to be yet it has always been the same. We recorded it at our own Super Secret Studios and our guitarist Brill Ritter did all the mixing and mastering. We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this song and even brought in local legend Tyrone Hendrix to take the drums over the top! This song is a psychedelic mix of rock, funk, and hip-hop/neo-soul that was written to unite people in harmony during these hard times.”
