On July 26, the Dickey Betts Band will release Ramblin’ Man: Live at The St. George Theatre. This 90 minute audio and video recording captures the group at Staten Island’s St. George Theatre on July 21, 2018. In addition to the group’s namesake, the roster also features Dickey’s son Duane on guitar, along with Frankie Lombardi (drums, backup vocals), Mike Kach (keyboards, lead vocals), Pedro Arevalo (bass), Damon Fowler (guitar, vocals) and Steve Camilleri (drums). Devon Allman, who currently performs with Duane in the Allman Betts Band, guests on his father’s classic “Midnight Rider.”

Today, we share a look at the forthcoming release. Dickey Betts reflects, “The afternoon before we did the show at the St. George, I did a long interview with Dan Rather. It was a very cool thing to do, and to follow it up with the taping and all, well, it made it very special. It was a great crowd and they were with us from the first note. I was really proud of my band. Everything just came together. When it was proposed to video and record this show, i was a little nervous about it. I had taken a few years off and I was worried how long before the rust came off, but this sure came out great.”

Duane adds, “Playing with my Dad is always a thrill and an honor for me. I was nervous after his long break, but by the time we recorded the show at the St. George, I think we were all hitting our stride.”
