Looking Back on the 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (A Gallery)

This year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival celebrated 50 years of the iconic springtime gathering with another packed lineup and eight full days of music over two weekends. Although The Rolling Stones, who were originally set to headline the second Thursday of the fest, had to cancel (along with their replacement, Fleetwood Mac), the celebration went on without another hitch (including Widespread Panic more than ably handling headlining duties on that Thursday).

Below, Marc Millman, a veteran photographer and longtime fan of Jazz Fest, shares his highlights from this year’s festivities, including shots of Dave Matthews Band, Gary Clark Jr., Katy Perry, John Fogerty, Santana, Van Morrison, Al Green, Diana Ross, Chris Stapleton, Galactic, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Mavis Staples, The Doobie Brothers, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Anders Osborne, Pitbull, Aloe Blacc, Jon Cleary, The Radiators, Foundation of Funk, Irma Thomas, The Revivalists, Amy Helm, Tank and the Bangas, Johnny Sketch & The Dirty Notes, Kermit Ruffins, Dumpstaphunk, Rebirth Brass Band, Deacon John, Big Freedia, Boyfriend, Bonerama, Cha Wa, The Boudreaux Family and many more, plus shots from around the festival grounds throughout both weekends.
