Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir Join John Fogerty (Memorial Day Weekend 1989)
On May 28, John Fogery will release his next album, Wrote A Song For Everyone. On this recording he revisits his canon of classic songs with such guests as Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, My Morning Jacket, Zac Brown Band and Dawes. Twenty-four years earlier over Memorial Day weekend 1989, he performed some of this material at Oakland Coliseum for the “Concert Against AIDS.” This show saw him backed by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, future American Idol judge Randy Jackson and Steve Jordan. Clarence Clemons stepped out for the encore as well. The setlist appears below the video.
