On Wednesday night, singer/trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick and guitarist Nick Cassarino brought their duo show to the intimate Rockwood Music Hall in New York and welcomed a couple very special guests for the show, as the two were joined first by bassist Christian McBride (who, along with Cassarino, played on Hartswick’s newest album Nexus), then by Phish frontman and guitarist Trey Anastasio, with whom Hartswick has played in his solo band for around two decades.

Photographer Marc Millman was front-row for the surprise collaboration and shared some photos, along with video of the night’s closer, “Drown in My Own Tears,” a song made famous by Ray Charles.
