Taper’s Choice have filled in the dates between their previously confirmed stop at Live Oak, FL’s Hulaween on October 25 and their big Halloween show at Chicago’s Garcia’s on October 30. As they route from Florida to the the Windy City, the group–bassist Alex Bleeker, drummer Chris Tomson, keyboardist Zach Tenorio and new guitarist CJ Tywoniak, who was officially anointed as Dave Harrington’s replacement at Las Vegas’ Brooklyn Bowl in early May, will appear at Atlanta’s The Earl on October 27, Nashville’s Skinny Dennis on Ocrober 28 and Indianapolis, IN’s Hi-Fi Indianapolis on October 29. 

The quartet’s Garcia’s show will be a “proper” jamband celebration, featuring a unique “musical costume.” The group is currently entertaining “serious” costume ideas from fans. Highlights from Taper’s Choice’s 2025 performance as the house band for the Relix 50 party have also recently been released on cassette. Mike Gordon, former Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten and Mikaela Davis are among the special guests who appear on the recording.
