Greensky Bluegrass will now headline Floyd, VA’s FloydFest this Friday, July 24. As previously reported, Tedeschi Trucks Band were forced to cancel their main-stage appearances at both FloydFest and Newport, RI’s Newport Folk Fest after singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi had an appendix scare that required surgery. Father John Misty will now take TTB’s spot at Newport Folk.

Along with the news that Greensky Bluegeass will fill in for Tedeschi Trucks Band at FloydFest, the Michigan-bred group has also announced the postponement their Friday, July 24 show in Stroudsburg, PA to February 21, 2027. A note from the band reads, “We will now be headlining FloydFest this Friday, July 24. We wish our friend Susan Tedeschi a speedy recovery and are happy to be able to step in to play FloydFest in TTB’s absence. Our previously scheduled show in Stroudsburg, PA has been rescheduled to February 21, 2027. All tickets will be honored at the new date. If you cannot attend, please contact your point of purchase by August 21.”

FloydFest’s promoters echoed the sentiment and released a statement saying, “We look forward to sharing the magic and music of Greensky Bluegrass with FloydFest’s 2026 Daydreamers. While we are elated and grateful for Greensky’s addition, the Tedeschi Trucks family remains in the heart and minds of the FloydFest Family, and we continue extending our sincerest wishes for a thorough and speedy recovery.”

Greensky Bluegrass will perform in Buffalo, NY this evening. FloydFest’s festivities will commence today as well and My Morning Jacket, Lukas Nelson and Stephen Wilson Jr. are among the marquee acts slated to perform later in the weekend.
