Following the release of his EP Speak of Love, Farmer Dave Scher has offered his music video for the project’s title track.

Some keen-eyed readers may recognize Scher for his work in bands like Beachwood Sparks, The Skiffle Players and Californiosos. Furthermore, Scher was able to tap a number of his live music pals for Speak of Love, including Kurt Vile, Cass McCombs and Dan Horne.

Overall, the reflective spirit of the EP was influenced by Scher’s own travels as well.

“‘Speak of Love’ was inspired by my experiences with sacred plant medicines in the Amazon jungle and beyond,” Scher told Relix. “The video was shot in mostly one take on a sunny summer day in Venice Beach, CA. The imagery hearkens to experiences that showed me we are cosmic in origin—one with Nature and all Creation. Greater love and compassion is the doorway to the next frontier of our existence as a species, and it begins with us making the change from within.”
