Today in 2014, Phish Played “Tweezer” Approximately 400 Times
It was just two years ago to the day that you were either sitting on your couch, at the venue or watching elsewhere when you saw Phish deliver the modern-era equivalent of their famed “Tweezerfest” of 1994.
Wrapping up two nights at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Phish went for it all in the second set after an opening “Wilson,” blending the following “Tweezer” into nearly every song in the set as they bounced in and out of the iconic riff. More than just a giant middle finger to the detractors of the modern era of Phish, this was a set for the ages and one that will stand on its own as one of the finest ever performed by the group.
