Premiere: SeepeopleS Create Video for New Single with Footage from Fans and Family in Quarantine

SeepeopleS will release their eighth studio album later this year. The group recorded Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World (RascalZRecordZ 2020) at Chillhouse Studios in Boston, MA with producer Will Holland (Pixies, Dead Can Dance). This marks the group’s first collection of original material since 2017’s ‘HATE’ EP.

In anticipation of the forthcoming record, the band enlisted filmmaker Anthony Marshall to create a video for “Blink,” the first single from the album. However, the coronavirus pandemic altered their approach to the project. As band leader Will Bradford explains, “The video was the plan B to a plan A of a scheduled video shoot, which was obviously canceled due to the lockdown.  By the end of our ‘little’ community art project, we had received footage from hundreds of people from all over the globe, including three continents! it became obvious to me this was the true plan A.  SeepeopleS, now twenty years into touring and recording, has always been about ‘seeing’ peoples in one form or another.”

Today we are premiering the video for “Blink,” which incorporates footage sent from people all over the world during their prospective quarantines, including Dana Colley (Morphine), Griffin Sherry (Ghost Of Paul Revere), Pete Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Nikki Glaspie (Beyoncé, Griz, Nth Power), Laura Reed and Shawn Eckels (Andy Frasco & The UN).
