Friday, March 19th, 12pm-5pm RELIX DAY PARTY @ ANTONE’S Saturday, March 20th, 8pm-2am RELIX OFFICIAL SHOWCASE @ GALAXY PATIO We’ve got a stacked lineup the entire day: Austin blues rockers The Statesboro Revue, cross-pollinated sets from the warm analog rock of Everest and pristine songcraft of The Watson Twins, the post-millennial indie groove of Minus the Bear, the soulful sounds of Citizen Cope and the roots-rock of Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights. This showcase rocks. We’re willing to challenge our showcase against any other Saturday night showcase in a steel cage match. Seriously. And this isn’t like a Brazilian jujitsu choke-out win – this is a pure pummeling. First from San Francisco’s Big Light, then from Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights. Then Kings Go Forth give you a one-two combination of Wisconsin-bred funk and soul before Dios creep up on you with a psych-pop low blow. Then, as you stumble back toward the corner, hands up in a feeble attempt to protect yourself, we unleash the psych rock of Los Angeles’ Darker My Love and local legends The Black Angels.
