Taper’s Choice has confirmed a series December shows. The California-based, self-described “subversive jamband” will return to the Northeast for performances at Boston, MA’s Sinclair on December 10, New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on December 11 and Kingston, NY’s Tubby’s on December 12. Taper’s Choice were supposed to play Tubby’s in early 2025, but the show was cancelled at the last minute after the Southern California wildfires caused Taper’s to scrap most of their winter tour. The quartet have not performed in Boston since 2023.
Of note, Taper’s Choice’s upcoming Brooklyn Bowl show has been officially dubbed Five Thee Well and will celebrate their fifth anniversary as band. (Their first official gig took place at Los Angeles’ Gold0Diggers on December 10, 2021.) Their 2025 appearance at Brooklyn Bowl as part of Relix 50 is now available on cassette.
Taper’s Choice will kick off a run of shows at Live Oak, FL’s Huluween on October 25 and route through the Southeast and Midwest, before bringing things to a close with a Halloween gig at Chicago’s Garcia’s on October 30.
