Trey Anastasio Adds Grand Rapids, Mich. Show to Acoustic Tour

Trey Anastasio has added an additional date to his upcoming acoustic tour. On June 17, the Phish frontman will make an appearance at Grand Rapids, Mich.’s Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, bringing his live itinerary to a new total of 16 shows. Tickets for the new performance will open to a presale next Saturday, April 18 at 9 a.m. ET. A general on-sale will follow on Friday, April 24 at 9 a.m. ET.

Anastasio’s upcoming acoustic tour will show the singer-songwriter and guitarist performing solo and alongside pianist and longtime collaborator Jeff Tanski at intimate venues from May 26 to June 24. Some notable stops on the run include Portland, Ore.’s Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, Vail, Colo.’s Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, Minneapolis’s Orpheum Theatre, Toronto’s Massey Hall and finally Port Chester, N.Y.’s Capitol Theatre. The outing will build on last year’s celebrated run, which marked his first proper acoustic tour in six years and was chronicled on a live album, Trey Anastasio – Live and Acoustic, last Friday.

On Tuesday, Trey Anastasio took the stage for a kind of warm-up show with a surprise set during the Divided Sky Foundation’s Marc Maron-led comedy benefit at Los Angeles’ Largo at the Coronet. Read more about that surprise show here.
