The String Cheese Incident Introduce New Material During Texas Weekend of Just Keep Spinning Tour
Previously, on Thursday, May 28, The String Cheese Incident kicked off their lengthy Just Keep Spinning Tour at Stable Hall in San Antonio, Texas. The band kept momentum as they twirled into the weekend, commencing a pattern that lingered on night one’s debut of new material and the ensuing display of first-time plays during their Lone Star State follow-ups.
During the group’s gig at The Moody Theatre in Austin on Friday, May 29, they initiated the latter half of their concert with another debut, this time a premiere of “Star.” The follow-up to Thursday’s inaugural take on “The Lightning Sky,” which was led by Keith Moseley, represented an integration of new songs into The String Cheese Incident’s live repertoire.
In the same vein as nights one and two of the group’s Just Keep Spinning Tour, their third appearance, on Saturday, May 30, at Houston’s House of Blues, produced yet another debut. Whereas lyrics enshrined the aforementioned compositions, this show featured an original instrumental, titled “ Fête Tama.”
Ultimately, during the Colorado band’s latest gig last night, Sunday, May 31, at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, the group treated their fans to another one. This time, they positioned “Got To Be You” in the concert’s third slot, a follow-up to “Song In My Head” and “Enjoy The Ride.”
At this time, the String Cheese Incident is four stops into their current summer run, with each of their previous concerts marked by the arrival of new material. Next, the band is scheduled to perform at the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte, Colo., on June 3-4. The aforementioned concerts are sold out.
