Nick Cassarino Will Record Live Album at The Bitter End

Nick Cassarino will record a live album at New York’s famed The Bitter End during the coming months. The Vermont-bred, New York-based musician, known for his collaborations with Jennifer Hartswick and work as a member of The Nth Power, first played the storied Bitter End 16 years ago and has continued to work out unique arrangements of covers and original music around the city ever since. 

For these special shows, which will be recorded for the forthcoming release, Cassarino will perform solo at the venue from 8:30-10pm on Friday May 8th and from 7:30-9pm on Thursday, June 25. He will then bring his his full Nick Cassarino Trio to the space on Thursday, July 18 from 8:30-10pm.

“I wanted to go back to one of the places I started at and do a live solo recording series,” he said. “Paul Rizzo at The Bitter End was happy to help.”  

TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik will sponsor the recording with a custom microphone package. Cassarino recently debuted a new trio with his brother Josh Cassarino on drums and Sen Raines on bass.
