On Wednesday, March 26, Mumford & Sons stepped into the spotlight at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Brooklyn Paramount for the ninth and final performance in their celebrated run of intimate club shows around the world. The beloved British folk-rock band’s Tour Before the Tour built anticipation for Rushmere, their first new studio album in seven years, which was released today via Glassnote.

For the culminating concert in their return to the stage, their first public headline show in New York since 2023 and the last performance before launching their new album, the trio reflected on their 18-year ascent with an era-spanning setlist. The band stormed the stage with the title track from their new album, then quickly moved into longtime fan favorites like 2012’s “Babel” and 2009’s “Little Lion Man.” The eight tracks that followed in the main set mixed new entries “Caroline” and “Where It Belongs” with classics including “Awake My Soul,” “I Will Wait” and “The Wolf.” The five-track encore brought a highlight with their well-traveled cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer” before closing out the show with “The Cave.”

To celebrate Rushmere’s long-awaited arrival, Mumford & Sons have partnered with Sirius XM to create Mumford & Sons Radio, a new pop-up station exploring the band’s archives and influences. They’ve also announced a more expansive North American Tour, plotting 32 performances from June 5 to October 26 with top-tier support from special guests Japanese Breakfast, Gregory Alan Isakov, Michael Kiwanuka, Sierra Ferrell, Gigi Perez, Margo Price, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Good Neighbors and Divorce. Tickets will become available on Wednesday, April 2 at 10 a.m. local through an artist presale, then open to a general on-sale on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. local.
