Lyle Lovett will spend much of the summer and spring swinging through various City Winery locations. Dubbed the Songs & Stories Tour, the outing will find the singer/composer/actor playing 23 intimate performances across eight City Winery venues. As the run’s title suggests, the concerts are intended to offer a mix of storytelling and music, in a relatively intimate setting.

The shows are also a full-circle return from City Winery. According to a statement, “City Winery’s multi-city residency tours reflect a return to the company’s original vision of bringing iconic artists into intimate rooms where audiences can experience music the way it was meant to be heard—up close and deeply personal. By presenting artists for multiple nights across its nine venues nationwide, City Winery is able to build meaningful residencies that reach both major markets and cities like St. Louis and Pittsburgh, where artists of this caliber might not otherwise perform in such an intimate setting.”
