ALO has released its latest single as a preview of the forthcoming full-length album Frames, due April 4, 202, via Brushfire Records. Today’s foretaste, “Space Between Frames,” percolates the band’s capacity to produce retro grooves fixed to meticulous guitar riffs and an overarching message that reminds the listener to take it easy and reassess their values amidst the fast-paced and changing environment.

“So often we find ourselves trapped in a warp-speed life with frames of information coming at us faster than fire,” Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz commented on the song he wrote. “Some of it’s inspiring and some of it’s scary, but it’s all so rapid-paced that it can feel impossible to keep up. The space between frames is about finding that quiet place without so much noise, where we can actually reflect on what we want to be and what we want to offer the world.”

The impending album features 10 tracks, including today’s single release and the band’s initial preview, “Blank Canvas.” Across the set, the foursome: Steve Adams (bass/vocals), Zach Gill (keyboards/vocals), Lebowitz (guitar/vocals), and Ezra Lipp (drums/vocals) lean into rock, electronic, alt-pop, folk, dance, and funk territories, while maintaining their signature quip, given every player’s status as a lead singer and writer.

ALO presents their latest single ahead of tomorrow, Feb. 21’s tour kick-off at San Francisco’s The Fillmore with special guest Glitterfox. Following night one, the band will rest before leaving home in pursuit of other West Coast gigs, which prelude a series of coast-to-coast live shows spanning from April to the start of May.

The group has also signed on to participate in select festivals, including Beachlife in Redondo Beach, Calif. (May 2-4), Big Ponderoo in Sisters, Ore. (June 28-29), 4848 Festival in Snowshoe, W.V. (July 17-19), Salmonfest in  Ninilchuk, Alaska (Aug 1-3) and Camp Deep End in Navarro, Calif. (Sept. 19-21). For tickets, visit www.alomusic.com
