Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Plot Dates at The Fillmore New Orleans During Jazz & Heritage Festival

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead have added new shows to their impending touring schedule. Today, the Grateful Dead cover band shared via social media that they will turn up in the Crescent City during the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where they will perform at The Fillmore over three nights, May 3 through 5. 

The newly dropped dates will arrive after the band takes part in a two-night stand at The Eastern in Atlanta on Feb. 9 and 10. The ensemble will break before resuming their live delivery with a festival gig on April 8 at the Texas Eclipse Festival in Burnet, Texas. The group’s fresh New Orleans dates occur next, prior to Colorado appearances. 

In The Cenntenial State, JRAD will take the stage at Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on May 31, followed by a June 1 appearance at the legendary outdoor Red Rocks venue. Russo, Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger, Dave Dreiwitz and Marco Benevento will take part in festival slots at Bonnaroo on June 4, followed by a July 25 gig at FloydFest in Floyd, Va. 

The band’s ticket pre-sale for NOLA dates begins Wednesday, Feb. 7 at noon E.T. The password for the band’s pre-sale will be posted on their official social media at the time noted above.
