Woods Add East Coast Shows Following Woodsist Festival, Will Play the New York Botanical Garden This Weekend

Woods will once again tour the East Coast on the heels of their annual Woodsist festival. As previously reported, the musicians, who coalesced in New York but are now spread throughout the country, will bring Woodsist back to Accord, NY from September 26-27, with Cate Le Bon, Destroyer and a tribute to Alice Coltrane topping the bill. From there, the group will link up with Woodsist performer Frog and support the indie-rock duo on a handful of dates. Those stops include gigs at Somerville, MA’s Crystal Ballroom on September 29, New York’s Webster Hall on September 30, Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl on October 1, Carrboro, NC’s Cat’s Cradle on October 2 and Washington, DC’s Black Cat on October 3.

Before there, Woods will appear at Bronx, NY’s New York Botanical Garden tomorrow, June 27. A special show that is part of the outdoor space’s Flower Power exhibit, the evening will capture the spirit of the late ’60s, featuring a liquid light show by Liquid Light Lab that promises to illuminate the Mertz Library façade. The event’s rain day is this Sunday, June 28.
