Gulf Coast Records has signed guitarist Jimmy Vivano. As the initial semblance of the partnership, Vivano has used the opportunity to outline his initial label debut, Gonna Be 2 of Those Days, slated to arrive on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2025. According to the initial press release, the set will include featured guests and fellow monster guitarist Joe Bonamassa and Lovin’ Spoonful’s John Sebastian.
“Jimmy Vivino has been a hero of mine for over 30 years,” said Gulf Coast president Mike Zito in making the announcement. “His incredible musicianship, passionate vocals, and powerful songwriting have always made him stand out. Jimmy is the consummate sideman, making everyone look and sound great. This new record, Gonna Be 2 of Those Days, puts Jimmy where I think he belongs: center stage. I am thrilled to have Jimmy Vivino join the GCR familia.”
“I knew Mike and Gulf Coast would be the right label to put my music out,” Vivino responded. “I was the instant 3rd Blood Brother when we met, and expect a long association with many more exciting things to come.”
Vivano rose to acclaim as Conan O’Brien’s house band member, spreading his talents across television and film while appearing in The Beatles’ tribute group, The Fab Faux. He scored opportunities to perform alongside Levon Helm, Jimmie Vaughan, Warren Haynes, and many more, adding distinction to his already-colorful resume.
Ahead of the official album release, Vivano, in partnership with Gulf Coast Records, will unveil a trio of singles beginning on January 10, 2025, with the Bonamassa-featured “Blues In The 21st.” “Ruby Is Back” is scheduled for release on January 24, 2025, ahead of the final single, “Ain’t Nuthin’s Gonna Be Alright” on February 7, 2025.
