Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Unveil Second Annual Camp Cosmic, Featuring Mountain Grass Unit, Water Tower and Willow Osborne

Today, Dec. 16, Daniel Donato took to his social channels to officially announce his second annual Camp Cosmic event. Returning to Pelham, Tenn.’s beloved The Caverns on April 11 and 12, Donato’s second event in the subterranean space will expand on last year’s presentation to create a festival-like experience.
Donato first forecasted the return of Camp Cosmic with a save-the-date announcement in August. Today, the artist has added detail, specifying that each day in The Caverns will feature not only performances from the rapidly rising Cosmic Country band, but also opening sets from the fresh-faced Birmingham, Ala.-based string quartet Mountain Grass Unit before each show. After the encore from Donato and his ensemble, music will carry on into the night with campground sets from Water Tower, featuring banjo ace Willow Osborne (who sat in during Donato’s Christmas Jam on Saturday). These late shows will also be an open jam, so fans are encouraged to bring their instruments and contribute to the Cosmic Circle.
Camp Cosmic’s full details arrive in the wake of Donato’s Cosmic Country Christmas Jam, which brought the Music City star to Brooklyn Bowl Nashville alongside 18 special guests from the city’s bustling jam and jam-adjacent scene. While the two-night series on Dec. 13 and 14 was thrilling throughout and set a new standard for Donato’s special events, a definite highlight came with the artist’s choice to cover the entirety of Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skyline on night one.
