moe. Outline ‘Live at The Bellwether 2/7/25 (4-LP Vinyl Release)’
With decades of experience, moe. has earned the title of a premier live band. Known for their capacity to ignite improvisations that border on meticulous while underscoring a high-velocity spirit, the group will be administering a hefty dose of said flair on their 4-LP psychedelic vinyl, Live at The Bellwether, 2/7/25. The Relix Sessions release comes on custom blue-and-green swirl vinyl and trails the arrival of their 14th studio album, Circle of Giants.
The set, Live at The Bellwether, 2/7/25, was recorded live at The Bellwether in Los Angeles on February 7, 2025, and is chock-full of blistering deliveries that run the gamut from reliable originals to adventurous new takes on familiar compositions. Highpoints include the first “Calyphornya” since 2018, which doubles as the first run-through of the track since Chuck Garvey’s post-stroke return, and Vinnie Amico’s step out from behind the kit in pursuit of Bobby Weir’s “The Other One.”
Proving their improvisational backbone is more viable than ever, the collection finds moe. administering an 18-minute “Opium,” which represents the entirety of Side C, as well as show-opener, a 16-minute rendition of “Buster.” The collection also spotlights old and new material, digging deep and bolstering a deep cut [“Four”] amid new cuts like “Bat Country” from Circle of Giants – released on Jan. 31, 2025, a week before the performance that informs the imminent live collection.
As an exciting feature, the new record marks the first Relix session recorded at The Bellwether in Los Angeles. It was mixed by Steve Young and mastered by Frank Hopkins, two members of moe.’s touring crew.
Pre-order the collection now – Expected to ship around September 1, 2026.
