On Dec. 30 and 31, jam quartet Spafford rang in the new year with two shows in their home state of Arizona, performing a slew of original material as well as a couple of surprise covers at The Van Buren theater.

One of the most unexpected moments of the weekend came with their live debut of “The Other One,” and today we premiere an exclusive, pro-shot video of the Grateful Dead cover.

“NYE was such a fun, loose, two nights of music,” Spafford guitarist Brian Moss said. “We were so happy and excited to be playing in our home state of Arizona. So many people traveled so far to be there. It was amazing. We have the best fans in the world! They definitely made 2018 our best year yet.”

Adds bassist Jordan Fairless, “There was a real buzz in the room for both shows, it took a few days after to come down.”
