moe. touched down in Gainesville, Fla. on Wednesday for the latest performance on their Born to Fly Tour. Continuing their trek down the East Coast, the foundational jamband’s engagement at Gainesville, Fla.’s Heartwood Soundstage featured a fresh setlist that matched old favorites with emerging live staples, plus a resurrected cover of The Clash.
moe. set off their performance last night with their classic “New York City, which they hadn’t taken to the stage since their performance at Brooklyn Bowl last October. The group moved on to launch “Band in the Sky,” then wove into “New Hope for the New Year” before hitting their third play to date of the recently debuted original “Carnival Punks.” The first frame culminated in a return to the tried and true No Doy cut “Buster.”
In the throes of their second set, after the Circle of Giants standout “Bat Country,” moe. scattered some more recent additions to their repertoire, including their fourth cover to date of “Revolving Door” by the Central NY-based progressive bluegrass quartet Floodwood (featuring moe.s’ Vinnie Amico) and “Three-Eyed Seprepent,” a Nate Wilson-penned track that first appeared in late 2025. The biggest surprise of the evening arrived with a jammed-out treatment of The Clash’s “Jimmy Jazz”; moe. covered the London Calling essential five times in 1995 and picked it up most recently in 1998. To cap off the performance, the band landed on “Threw It All Away,” then sauntered back to the spotlight for an encore of their 2008 Sticks and Stones entry “Queen of Everything.”
moe. will play again tonight at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.’s Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Find tickets and the group’s full live itinerary at moe.org.
