Ahead of their forthcoming studio album of the same name, New Orleans rhythm and blues outfit Flow Tribe have released a music video for their new single “Keep Pushing.” The sextet enlisted funk ambassador Ivan Neville on the track and the video features animation by Andrew Knives.

“Keep Pushing” offers one of Flow Tribe’s – comprised brothers Darion Hodge (bass) and Mackeal “Turtle” Wells (keyboard), K.C. O’Rorke (vocals/trumpet), Bryan Santos (guitar), Mario Palmisano (guitar) and drummer Scott Sibley (percussion) – most inspired studio releases to date. The track was written during the 2020 pandemic lockdown and showcases the heartfelt and rhapsodic lyrics that celebrate life and resist the urge to let gloom and shadow take over during difficult times.

“Teaming up with Ivan Neville on ‘Keep Pushing’ was an absolute joy,” Flow Tribe tells Relix. “We wanted to capture the uplifting and irresistible groove encapsulated by New Orleans’ rich musical history. Together we crafted a feel good anthem that gets you moving.”

The single showcases the hand-tailored engineering, production and writing that fans can expect to enjoy on Keep Pushing, which was recorded at Flow Tribe’s newly established Downman Sounds Studio in New Orleans, which is now a hub for creatively among Flow Tribe members and the greater New Orleans music community.
