Watch: Nick Offerman Finally Delivers His Ode to Whisky

Rob Slater on December 4, 2014

After acting and directing in music videos for the likes of Tweedy, The Decemberists and FIDLAR, Nick Offerman has finally starred in his very own. Appropriately, his debut comes in the form of an ode to his favorite drink, whisky. In “My Tales of Whisky,” the Parks and Recreation star croons about his love of the fabled drink, even going as far as to say he wish he had a third arm so he could play guitar and drink at the same time.

It becomes apparent very quickly that Ron Swanson is more of a man than I, or you, or any of us for that matter. Decked out in plaid, walking through a field, riding horses and boats all while strumming a guitar and drinking whisky, Offerman offers up safety tips for indulging in a strong glass of scotch. For example, no woodworking while drinking (Offerman has his own woodshop, as most badasses do) and definitely no horseback riding as you will end up with a “puddle of booze in your crotch.”

Seasoned whisky drinkers will notice a bottle of Oban as well as a shot of the distillery for Lagavulin, the preferred poison of Ron Swanson. Watch the amazing “My Tales of Whisky” below.
