Watch Marcus King Band Make Their Late-Night Television Debut on ‘Conan’

Marcus King Band will release their new, Dave Cobb-produced studio album, Carolina Confessions, on October 5 via Fantasy Records, and the band stopped by TBS’ Conan last night in support of the record, making their late-night television debut with a performance of album track “Where I’m Headed.”

King leads the way on the live cut with both his scratchy, soulful vocals and gritty guitar, opening the tune with a Tom Petty-esque rhythm backed by the MKB horn section and even fitting in two ripping solos throughout the number. Watch below.

Marcus King Band will play tonight in Albuquerque, NM, as part of their current western tour swing. See the group’s full schedule here, and pre-order Carolina Confessions here.
