Video Premiere: Royal Southern Brotherhood “Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire”
The latest release from Royal Southern Brotherhood, The Royal Gospel, has been hailed as “a rock album worth blasting, and it might get you a little healing as well.” The record features the group’s current core lineup of Cyril Neville (percussion/vocals), Bart Walker (guitar/vocals), Tyrone Vaughan (guitar/vocals) and Yonrico Scott (drums) and Darrell Phillips (bass/vocals), along with Norman Caesar on B3. Today we premiere the official video for the opening track, “Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire.” Neville, who wrote the song with Vaughan, in a hotel room while on tour, tells Relix, “I had written the lyrics a week of so before and when Tyrone played his riff it fit perfectly with the story being told. We recorded it and then Marc Bergeron worked his magic and the result is a fiery testament to Love!”
RSB will take the to the road for a series of dates, starting on October 8, with the full tour itinerary below the premiere. Mark Bergeron directed and edited the video while Art Reed served as producer.
