Lettuce released their latest studio album, Elevate, back in June, and today we’re premiering a live version of one of the tracks from the effort, “Shmink Dabby,” which the funk stalwarts performed during an intimate show at Terrapin Care Station in Denver.

While the band first came together on the East Coast—specifically at the Berklee College of Music—some of Lettuce’s members have since migrated west to Colorado, and the band has recently teamed up with HeadCount’s Cannabis Voter Project for multiple tour runs. In the video below, the group offers their groove-laden performance right next to Terrapin Care Station’s cannabis growing operation.

“The audience in the grow house was so respectful of the music and our art—in fact, no one spoke one word in the middle of any of the songs,” Lettuce tells Relix about the unique experience. “Plus it was a 100%-female crowd, so the vibe was really on the level.”

Watch the live version of “Shmink Dabby” below. Lettuce open up a run of eastern dates this week, starting Sept. 12 in Asheville, NC. Check out the band’s full schedule here.
