Song Premiere: Adam Topol “The Captain”

On July 22 Adam Topol will release his new album, Regardless of the Dark via Everloving Records (Ben Harper, The Growlers, Metric). Topol, the longtime drummer for Jack Johnson also has worked with Eddie Vedder, Ziggy Marley, Jimmy Cliff and David Gilmour. The new record is influenced by all of these artists as well such novelists as Junot Diaz, Cormac McCarthy and Haruki Murakami. Today we premiere “The Captain” from the forthcoming album (which is now available for pre-order). Topol tells Relix, “’The Captain’ is a high tide sea shanty about them that have to face an evening’s wreckage the next morning…”
