On Thursday night, North Mississippi Allstars kicked off their tour at famed New Orleans venue Tipitina’s, which was recently purchased by another NOLA staple, funk outfit Galactic, and Galactic’s drummer Stanton Moore even stopped by the show. The night also featured an opening set from the duo of Papa Mali and Alvin Youngblood Hart, both of whom sat in during NMA’s headlining performance, along with singer and harmonica player “Jumpin'” Johnny Sansone.
