As previously reported, Trey Anastasio will release his 7th solo studio album Traveler on October 16 via Rubber Jungle Records/ATO Records. While the album’s track list remains a mystery, as Yemblog reports, Diffuser.fm has posted a version of one of the song’s tracks, “Let Me Lie.” This is actually the third time Anastasio has officially released a studio version of “Let Me Lie.” The song appears on his 2006 solo album Bar 17 and the 2009 Phish release Party Time. Both Phish and Trey Anastasio Band have also offered the song love on numerous occasions and “Let Me Lie” was a staple on the guitarist’s recent symphony tour.
Traveler was produced by Peter Katis and features members of Mates of State, The National and other indie rock bands. The Phish co-founder has said that he hoped to create a more experimental album this time around, using the studio as an instrument. The album’s first singe “Scabbard” is now available.
