Wilco loyalists, Billy Bragg devotees, and Woody Guthrie connoisseurs rejoice.

With the highly anticipated biennial return of the sold-out Solid Sound Festival looming, June 26-28, 2026, at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Mass., and the first live staging of Mermaid Avenue on the roster, new opportunities to listen and stream select sets have been scheduled.

For fans of the ensemble’s interpretations of Guthrie tunes and the Wilco archive, two sets, including Wilco and Bragg’s joint delivery, dubbed Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key, as well as the host’s Saturday frame, will be available for listening on 88.5 FM, in partnership with New England Public Media, PBS, and NPR for western Massachusetts. Global streaming options will also be available via nepm.com

The Way Over Yonder in The Minor Key performance represents a long-awaited reveal for fans, despite the fan-loved status of Mermaid Avenue and its follow-up volume, Mermaid Avenue Vol. II, and The Complete Sessions, Wilco, and Bragg were never supported on stage, meaning this month’s performance represents the only opportunity to see these songs played by the couriers of Guthrie’s legacy.

Happening nearly 30 years after the first set’s release, the songs still hold significance for fans, serving as idealized folk-rock compositions with the magnetism of lines scribed by Guthrie. For those unable to attend the event in person, the new streaming options offer a way to experience the music.
