Wilco will hit the road this summer. After previously unloading the dates and locations for their intimate “An Evening with Wilco” run, slated for April and May, the band is looking further ahead and forecasting what’s to come when the temperature swells, and the sun shines past 8 p.m. The Chicago group’s initial appearance on the summer concert series will be Friday, June 12, in Grand Rapids, Mich., with the location to be determined.

After the first night on stage for their Summer Tour, Wilco will proceed with a secondary Midwest stop, this time at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre in Rochester Hills, Mich. Next, the band will return to the lakeside venue known as the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater in Chautauqua, N.Y., on Sunday, June 14. They’ll follow up on Tuesday, June 16, at the Beak & Skiff Apple Orchard in  Lafayette, N.Y., ahead of an evening spent in Bethlehem, Pa.

On Thursday, June 18, the group will take the Wolf Trap stage in Vienna, Va., before a highly anticipated concert at Forest Hills Stadium in the New York City vicinity. Prior to the onset of their biennial Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, Mass., June 26-28, the band will cruise up to Portland, Maine, for a gig on Sunday, June 21.

After celebrating Mermaid Avenue at Mass MoCA with Billy Bragg and hosting a slew of talented artists at Wilco’s own Solid Sound Festival, the band will return to the road in continuation of their Summer Tour, beginning on July 1 at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla. They will remain in the Southern region of the country, performing concerts in cities like Memphis, Tenn. (July 7), LaGrange, Ga. (July 9), Charleston, S.C. (July 10), and Durham, N.C. (July 11).

The final stops on Wilco’s US Summer Tour take them to the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington, N.C., on July 13, followed by an evening at The Dome in Virginia Beach, Va. On Wednesday, July 15, they will perform at the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, W.V. Next, they’ll turn in a performance from The Burl in Lexington, Ky., before a final stop at The Palace Theatre in Columbus, Ohio, on July 18. On the road, the band will welcome support from Yo La Tengo on select dates. See below.

The new Wilco tour dates arrive after frontman Jeff Tweedy released his triple solo statement, Twilight Override, last September. Tweedy has been on the road in support of the record with his family band, featuring sons Spencer and Sammy, in addition to friends and collaborators, Macie Stewart, Liam Kazar, and Sima Cunningham.
