Watch: Bruce Springsteen and Maggie Rogers Join Zach Bryan at Barclays Center

Last night, March 27, Zach Bryan brought his sprawling Quittin Time Tour to New York with an explosive first night at Barclays Center. As the grand finale to a thrilling sold-out performance, the country-rock star invited iconic special guests Bruce Springsteen and Maggie Rogers to join him onstage for a two-song encore, bringing the arena’s energy to fever pitch before sending the crowd off into the night. Springsteen reportedly flew across the country solely for this appearance, slotting the staging in between stops on his current West Coast run with the E Street Band.

Though Bryan’s affinity for the boss is well-documented and the artist’s walk-out song of “Johnny 99” and cut-off Springsteen tee provided some subtle hints, no fan could have forecasted the rock legend’s surprise entrance to the rousing first chords of “Sandpaper.” The greats shared the spotlight for a deeply moving rendition of this yet-unreleased cut, expected for Bryan’s forthcoming 2024 album, before calling Rogers to return to the stage after joining Bryan for a rendition of their collaborative 2023 single “Dawns” earlier in the show. The three artists encircled a single microphone for a soaring treatment of Bryan’s “Revival,” capping off the show with an anthemic last word.

Bryan will take the stage at Barclays Center once more tomorrow night before continuing on the Northeast leg of his Quittin Time Tour, following this pair with another in Belmont Park, New York on March 30 and 31. Bryan will remain on the road for an additional 67 dates this year before closing his 2024 run with a return to Barclays Center on December 18 and 19.
