Warren Haynes has added five additional dates to his upcoming Now Is The Time tour, tacking a Midwest leg to the formerly Northeast-limited run. These latest shows expand the iconic bluesman and bandleader’s special three-night series to eight bold performances, which will figure the artist alongside both The Dreams and Sounds Symphonic Experience and the new Warren Hayes Band, which will make its debut performances during the tour’s June leg. The new additions follow Haynes’ packed early-summer tour schedule to pick up the thread from July 19-28.

After the Northeast run of the Now Is The Time tour, the Warren Haynes Band’s eight European dates and a seven-night run supporting Slash’s traveling S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, Haynes will arrive in Indianapolis to kick off the second stint of his symphonic tour with a July 19 performance at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park. Once the lights go down, the artist will bear north to Rochester Hills, Mich., for a July 20 booking at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, followed by a July 26 presentation at Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion. Haynes and his ensemble will then head to Rose Music Center at The Heights in Huber Heights, Ohio on July 28, before finally bringing the Now Is The Time tour, and Haynes’ slated 2024 appearances thus far, to a close with a July 28 finale at Cincinnati’s PNC Pavilion at Riverbed.

These unprecedented performances will be composed of three frames, with two symphonic sets preceding a performance of Haynes’ trademark blues-rock mastery. Symphonic contributions will be provided by local orchestras hand-picked by Haynes, led by conductor Rich Daniels of Chicago’s City Lights Orchestra, with whom Haynes previously collaborated in 2019 for Dreams & Songs – A Symphonic Journey. The final set will peel back the elaborate staging to present Haynes alongside the new Warren Haynes Band, a backing trio of longtime friend and collaborator John Medeski on keys, New Orleans’ Terrence Higgins on the drums and Gov’t Mule bassist Kevin Scott. In these expansive performances, the artist will cherry-pick classics from his massive discography, staging unheard orchestral arrangements of songs from Gov’t Mule, the Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead, plus revisited works from the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration.

On the upcoming tour, Haynes has offered, “I’m really excited to have this opportunity to tour with both my new band and the Symphonic Experience. We will be reinterpreting a lot of different music from the storied ‘songbooks’ of many of the bands I’ve been fortunate to have been a part of over the last three decades or so combined with material from my solo work, including new music. Many of these aforementioned classic songs will be interpreted by an orchestra for the first time ever and doing sets with both the symphony and the band alone will give us the platform to perform a multi-dimensional show night after night.”
