Little Feat has been making the rounds in Nashville this week. On Tuesday the group made its Grand Ole Opry debut. The band performed three tunes that evening, with Maggie Rose joining in on “Willin’” and “Dixie Chicken” before stepping offstage as the group closed things out with “Let It Roll.”
Last evening, Little Feat’s Last Farewell Tour made its way to the Ryman Auditorium. The first set opened with “Fat Man in the Bathtub” and included such classics like “Let It Roll” and “Time Loves a Hero” along with newer material from the group’s 2025 studio album Strike Up the Band, such as “Shipwrecks” and “Midnight Flight.”
When the group emerged for the second frame, a number of notable artists joined in. Maggie Rose reunited with the group during “The Weight,” “All That You Dream” and “Cadillac Hotel.”
Tommy Emmanuel appeared on “Cajun Girl” and also joined Maggie Rose for “Willin'.”
Drew Smithers added guitar to a run from “A Apolitical Blues” into “Long Distance Call” and back into “A Apolitical Blues.”
Peter Levin contributed keys to “Spanish Moon,” which segued into “Skin It Back.”
Finally, Marcus King emerged for “Dixie Chicken,” with Maggie Rose also lending vocals, then the two remained as Emmanuel and Levin came back out for the closing take on “Feats Don't Fail Me Now.”
