U2 joined a number of Irish musicians at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin tonight for a benefit concert for Aslan singer Christy Dignam, who is recovering from cancer. The show featured performances by Bressie, Danny O’Reilly (The Coronas), members of Horslips, Ryan Sheridan, Paul Brady, Shane MacGowan, Mary Black, Don Mescall, Tom Dunne (Something Happens), Jerry Fish, Steve Wall (The Stunning), Gavin Friday, Mark Feehily, Paul Walsh (Royseven), The Riptide Movement, Jedward, Gavin James and Kiera Dignam. U2 performed Aslan’s “This Is,” and all of the other artists played handpicked tunes from the band’s catalog. A video of the concert can be viewed via MoonTunes.
